For all cycling and sailing enthusiasts who cannot decide between the two, there is the unique “E-Bikes and Sailing” offer in the Flair Hotel Nieder in Bestwig in the Sauerland. Josef Nieder’s guests can take a bike tour through the Sauerland with e-bikes and, in combination, strive for a relaxing sailing excursion. The e-bikes are provided directly by the hotel.
The bike tour starts right at the hotel and leads to Sorpesee, 45 km away. On this way you will encounter the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park, with a wonderful view of the Ruhr Valley and the southern mountains in Hennesee. The Homert Nature Park above the Sorpedamm provides a fascinating view of the Sorpesee. Arrived at the Sailpoint am See – the destination of the bike tour – after a short break, the sailing trip continues. You can go sailing there in a relaxed manner until you are invited to the final fishing gulp. The adventurous tour will end and the guests will then be brought back to the hotel by shuttle.
The e-bike sailing offer can be booked by four to ten participants; larger groups are also possible on request. The cost per person is € 110. The necessary equipment, such as a bicycle helmet, rain pants, a change of clothing, etc. must be brought with you. In addition to the excursion mentioned above, the hotel owner Josef Nieder offers personal hiking tours that offer deep insights and views. Josef Nieder grew up in this area, which is why he knows beautiful, hidden places and makes the hiking tour a real experience with a great deal of knowledge and exciting stories about the region. Nature can be explored on your own with many excursion options, such as the Ramsbeck visitor mine or ore mining.
The hotel is also reviving a culinary tradition by tasting delicious roast birds. These are known far beyond the borders of Bestwig.
