The Flair Hotel Waldfrieden is managed with great commitment by Sascha Schwarze. Originally an intern who came to this house during his studies, he fell in love with the house and the region and eventually came back as managing director. You will feel well looked after by the young and dedicated team of the house. The staff knows the region like their back pocket and give you excellent tips for excursions and hikes through the breathtaking Schwarzatal valley.
Idyllic valleys with babbling streams, deep forests that extend over the mountains and a peace that knows only the sound of birds. Almost endless hiking paths and flora and fauna straight out of a picture book. That’s romantic Thuringia – and that’s where you’ll find us.

The Flair Hotel Waldfrieden is also culinaryly dedicated to its region – here local products from the Thuringian Forest come to the plate. Meat and sausages are sourced from the neighbouring village, where cattle still stand on lush mountain meadows. The delicious trout come from the white Schwarza and all dishes are rounded off with medicinal herbs from the Schwarzatal. At coffee time, the service will spoil you with delicious cakes and coffee specialities.
