05 Aug Wellness with Flair
Take some time out, do something good for your body, increase your personal well-being and simply lie back and relax – something we rarely have time for in our busy lives. This is why it’s so important to purposefully enjoy some down time and regain your inner balance. Wellness is the keyword here. Lots of Flair Hotels offer their guests an oasis of relaxation for this reason. We show you what you can expect from wellness with Flair.
What exactly does wellness mean?
What is wellness exactly? The term “wellness” is not protected it can mean different offers. At the end of the day, it’s simply about spoiling yourself and unwinding. Wellness treatments can include visits to the sauna, an aromatherapy session, massages, spas, sporting activities, yoga, a facial mask or simply good food. That’s for you to decide, since not all treatments are for everyone. You have to find out what’s good for your own body and soul. It’s always important to schedule in lots of time to rest. If you rush through your wellness treatment, you’re not going to find your inner peace.
If you’re looking to treat yourself to more than just a day of downtime at home with a good book and a cup of tea under the duvet, you need to book a stay in a good hotel with a wellness area. This can recharge your batteries, especially now in the colder time of the year. A few Flair Hotels are also geared towards wellness guests. We present the wellness areas of a few Flair Hotels here.
The Kranich-Insel in the Flair Hotel Weiss
The brand-new spa in the Flair Hotel Weiss in Angermünde (Uckermark) is called the “Kranich-Insel”. “A unique relaxation oasis awaits our guests,” says hotel manager Roy Weiss intriguingly. The Kranich-Insel is designed as a small, cosy village in Uckermark with half-timbered houses. You will find saunas in each “stall” and in the “barns”. In addition to a Finnish sauna (95 degrees), the bio sauna enriched with essential oils (60 to 65 degrees) and the “Kranichnest” with fresh herb hay from local meadows in the infrared sauna (40 degrees) offer pure relaxation. The old “goat shed” with rock salt is a salt cave sauna (50 to 60 degrees). The stone releases its salts in accurately regulated, moist air. This is a special treat for your skin and respiratory tract.
In the middle of the village, am Mühlstein, the ice fountain cools you down after your sauna. “Our shower temple with rain shower heads, splash shower, pails and Kneipp hose guarantee a real water experience,” says Roy Weiss. The heated bench with its foot basins ensures your circulation is stimulated after your sauna session.
A relaxing highlight of the Uckermark sauna village is the resting area with oversized glass atrium. “It encourages you to spend time daydreaming or to gaze up at the starry sky between sauna sessions – by the fireside, on first-class relaxation beds and with a view of the clear sky,” says the hotelier, making you long for some down time. The Kranich-Insel’s offer is completed by peelings and massages.
